VJ Day Party
Celebrating V.J. Day (15th. August 1945) with a children's party at Great Ashfield Aerodrome, 8th, September 1945. Free ices were dispensed by Fred Wright who made them in what was later Lufkin's shop in New Road (now a private dwelling). There were no cones, so children collected their scoops in a cup.
