As time went by…
Aerial photo taken in 1980. The slaughterhouse is at the left (nearest the railway, with a siding between it and the white house with its upper windows showing) and meat/products progressed through to despatch at the right. The central red-brick house was the main office, with its boardroom on the top floor. In the foreground the arrays of concrete pads are where the pig-sties were put for the renowned Annual Show. To the rear (left), the sewage tanks for the digesters, and the old power house. [Full size]
